I have this model since 2017 I think. Still works ok with reading apps, youtube, spotify, browsing etc, anything not too demanding on resources.
Too bad updates stopped at Android 7.0. Wonder if there is any way to install something custom.
Anybody tried to install newer versions of Android on it?

Chuckaluc, 09 May 2017I also have z300m it was upgraded Android nougat saturdayI also have a z300m. Are you having issues after this latest update? Like audio cutting out when playing a game. My charging indicator isn't showing when off while hooked to a power source either.

5-6-2017:I have a Asus z380M-A2-GR, ZenPad 8", model# P00A and I went into settings and clicked System Updates and then clicked Check Update and it started updating in the background not telling me anything on the screen but I seen a download arrow in the upper left hand of the task bar or whatever you call it on my home screen and touched that and it said it was doing an upgrade that would take approximately 10 minutes, so it restarted and installed it and then I logged-in and opened up settings and checked the About category at the very bottom and it said Android 7, BINGO,WALLAA, I now have Nougat, thank you ASUS and Android.

My Asus ZenPad Z380M was upgraded from Android 6.0 marshmallow to Android 7.0 nougat !!!!

I emailed Asus and they told me its not getting nougat and if it did get it then their website would have it for download. I checked Asus support website and it lists the current firmware marshmallow for download and thats it.

Asus told me this isn't getting nougat so dunno how others got an update. Maybe they pretend to get nougat.
