BlackBerry Priv starts getting June security update

BlackBerry's debut Android smartphone Priv has started receiving the Android security update for the month of June. Carrying AAF153 build number, the update is currently rolling out to units purchased from ShopBlackBerry and Amazon.

Aside from the latest security patches, the update - which weighs in at around 1805 MB - also includes fixes for various bugs, including those related to SIM, Bluetooth connection, and bug reporter. It also aims to solve overheating problems.

A full public roll-out of the update is expected in the first week of June.

I can't understand all the hate against the priv. Yes its expensive and yes the build quality/materials are not that great, but software and design wise its all ive been looking for. Camera is great and the akku is insane actully compared to other fl...

This is the first device in a while where BB is listening. Regular updates, the team is on the forums listening to issues and working on fixes. Big contrast to sammy and HTC!
