Just got mine today, charged it set it up. It working fine with t movie, I had a ZTE phone with the same features, but this does better. I spent six months in reviews and comparing price before making the switch. I recommend it, just remember to do your homework.

The choice of the Blu Studio was easy. I had a smaller Blu phone for about a year and then chose this one, adding a 64 GB micro SD card, tempered glass screen protector (which is fantastic compared to plastic protectors) and a nice protective case. My "unlimited" yearly cellular service is very reasonable. Since the phone costs less than yearly insurance on more expensive phones I do not worry with that cost. If it breaks I will simply buy another one. The self-focusing camera takes great pics and easily focuses on QR codes and bar codes. Many notice my phone and comment favorably on its large size. It holds its battery charge very well. One overnight charge lasts all day. I rarely see it drop below 50%. After about 6 months of use of this phone I really do not have ANY negative comments.

Not sure it would help you with your wi-fi update but here is my situation. I got the same non successful update and the phone hung. I made back-up of my user data and selected factory restore. Restarted the phone but nothing happend - the same pink-yellow BLU screen. Fortunately I got a call from my friend and it seemed to get the phone woke up. Really unstable hardware updates from BLU so try to do it for your luck in future.

I installed the Wifi update today and the phone is now hung on the boot screen. I cannot do anything with it. 3 months in and nothing but problems with this unit. Not impressed with BLU's quality.

mc47, 19 Feb 2016I love my blu studio xl phone, until the screen went black ... more I have a related problem, mine is with the touch screen. Nothing is working and i am not able to use the phone for anything. I can't text message because if you want to type (a) it type a different alphabet.

I love my blu studio xl phone, until the screen went black and i can't get it back. the phone is on, i can get calls, i just can't see who's calling, or any text messages or e-mails ...nothing. anyone else have this issue and can help me out?

Anonymous, 20 Nov 2015is the battery removable?No. I found this out when playing a game, and the phone warned me that it was about to overheat and advised me to remove the battery. I had to take the back off, then hold the phone in the freezer for about 5 minutes...

Anonymous, 08 Dec 2015Does this phone come with emojis? Yes it has emojis. And they are VERY UGLY. I found that some Android and Windows phones don't understand the emojis. The emojis and key pad is by TouchPal. Maybe you can look up TouchPal, and see the emojis for yourself.

This is HANDS DOWN, by far, the absolute worst phone I have ever owned. I've had this phone less than one month. It has crashed, It will not stay charged, UI is not difficult, but it is sometimes difficult to navigate. The emoji's are UGLY, and other Android and Windows phones do not understand the emojis. If I manage to get a full charge, it stays charged for just a few hours. And that's when the phone is idle. The phone died one time and would not power up for two days. I will buy another phone in a couple of weeks. I will throw this phone in the garbage. My advice to consumers is not to buy this junk. My advice to BLU is to pocket the money you have got, from consumers then close shop.
