I am worked with Ericsson GH388 in service. I have it today. It has a helical antenna, and when I get into the forrest, I have iPhone 6s and GH388 in the pocket. I have a cabin long way from mobilstations and other luxury. Only amateur shortway radio (HF). No signal at all on the iphone. GH388 3 antenna points on radio,shows, and connections very good. It is full power out to the antenna, and you do not hold around it, as modern shit. When you hold modern telephones your hand detuned the hole antenna arangements inside the phone. A shame to days mobiles. When will the consructeurs reinsetting the outer antenna???

This GH388 is the first cell phone I used myself in my life. Even now its design looks still pretty cool, in my opinion. I remember I spent RMB1000 on a second-hand one in the year of 2000... Its signal is very strong, I like the feeling of holding it in my hand. Nowadays it is still able to work well, in China ,luckily, CHINA MOBILE's network has been supporting it till now. However,its battery didn't last for a long time, less than NOKIA 5110 at least. Oh, the Tone "MIX" sounds very cool...The sound was easily heard in some HONGKONG films during those years...

I still have that phone, i use it sometimes but it doesn´t work perfect, i think problem is the 1g network used by the phone. Battery is good :)

Can any other Ericsson phone have the same connections as the GH338? I have a car phone set up including the wired in cradle but have lost the phone and want to replace it with either a GH388 or any other Ericsson phone that will fit the cradle.

Great phone, dropped it 4 metres once, plugged the battery back in and it worked fine. The Aluminium chassis made it very sturdy.

i had this phone for a short time WAY back...its was cool at that time i was 11?12? i liked the click tones of the keypad..hahhaha!!but then i got the motorola v box..hahahhaha

Yes today 30/05/2007 use I this phone, also GA 628 and Nokia 1611. The last one was my first one and I never buy a other. The Ericssons I receive it as a gift from friends and yes I look for the user manual guide in dutch if that is posible? Englisch is the last option. The phone's, well right now it are the battery's that make it not comfortable...Only the big one work! The small 600mAh is not to find anymore what is very pitty. But I tray to going further with..So thanks for reading and I hope to receive some news this topic...Luc
