Galaxy S7 with Helio X20 and X25 chipsets spotted in benchmark
The Samsung Galaxy S7 can have either an Exynos or a Snapdragon chipset... or MediaTek Helio X20 or X25, wait what? Geekbench scores list a Samsung SM-G930W8, which comes with with one of three different chipsets.
Now, G930 is the Galaxy S7 and W is typically the designation for Canadian versions. Scrolling through the results, you see octa-core processors - the Exynos - or deca-cores - either MT6797 or MT6797T.
Those are better known as MediaTek Helio X20 and X25. So much for the exclusivity of the X25. Both chipsets are mostly the same, but the X25 is an overclocked version and it matches the CPU performance of Samsung's Exynos while the X20 is a bit behind.
It's worth pointing out that the Helio X20 version comes with 3GB of RAM while the other two have 4GB.
Chipset | RAM | Single-core | Multi-core |
Exynos 8890 | 4GB | 2140 | 6416 |
Helio X25 | 4GB | 1904 | 6019 |
Helio X20 | 3GB | 1662 | 5943 |
Will Samsung really sell a MediaTek in Canada? Our initial reaction was "three versions for the three major Chinese carriers," but the W suggests that's not the case. Until we see more proof, we'll write this off as a Galaxy S7 Neo or something along these lines.
Thanks for tipping us off, Dawid!

The life of a battery is shown in reality, not in tests. Samsung does not excel in this area. Sorry for responding so late. I like your way of expression, when you are calm and are not "fanatic".

Where, as is it? On the contrary, the battery life is greater than the Snapdragon 820.
