HTC has reportedly canceled the One (M8) Prime

30 May, 2014

One down and one to... be canceled? Some time after the HTC One (M8) was announced rumors started flying around of two new versions of the M8 – Ace and Prime. Yesterday a plastic, China-bound Ace went official under the name HTC One Vogue edition, but today evleaks is reporting the One (M8) Prime has been postponed indefinitely.

The rumor mill was describing an LG G3 competitor – 5.5" QHD screen, Snapdragon 805 chipset, 18MP/5MP dual-camera and a ceramic body. The unveiling was supposed to take place in September, but now that's put into question.

We can only speculate why this has happened – if indeed it happened at all, HTC never officially confirmed the One (M8) Prime, let alone announce that it's canceling it. Still, HTC One (M8) buyers can breathe a sigh of relief, they didn’t get the short changed with a lesser flagship.

By the way, Samsung is reportedly working on a premium Galaxy S5 too (which it has officially denied). Wonder what's going to happen with that one?
