This is HTC's first phone in 10 years, I work at T-Mobile and I've started to have people bringing it in, and tbh its a pretty good phone for the price, very smooth, no weird bugs as far as I've seen, y'all don't understand how much money it costs to develop and launch a phone, Imagine if you fell sprained your ankle, and had to rest while in a 24HR race, and all the sudden when you're finally getting back into the race you realize that the competition is 3 miles ahead, you're not going to just be able to sprint 5 miles, you kind of have to relearn your pace. So stop being so hard on HTC through the years they produced nothing but top tier affordable phones that everyone loved, that is the reason why they went bankrupt.

Wh... moreYes avoid the HTC U23 PRO, that is a shocking figure for the battery.But it is the lack of support / updates that kills it for me ..i mean it may not even get android 14.Plenty of other better options out there than this flawed product.

Not sure how HTC got battery so wrong, endurance rating 83h, yikes
Plus zero support, try contacting HTC UK recently? Good luck getting a reply, phone may not even get android 14.

I have a question please. Where is the microphone position? My first and second htc phones, it was on the front below the screen. My third htc phone, it had moved to the back of the phone. This caused an echo to the person you were talking to if you spoke with loud speaker and the phone was sitting on a flat surface.
The position of the microphone isn't mentioned anywhere.

It's why things like benchmarks are meaningless. Likely HTC has shorter endurance due to its design, meaning it requires more power to keep a signal/wifi connection. Additionally, Chinese phones are NOTORIOUS for killing apps in the background, to the point where you end up screwed for notifications.
It's not a bad phone by any means, for under $500 dollars you can rarely find a phone with these features and specs. Ultimately its up to the consumer.
I'd buy this over another piece of junk xiaomi

good to still see HTC in the shops this phone maybe not the best of the best but its very reasonable and probably just fine doing what it needs to do

My initial comment would be that I can't advise the purchase of this mobile phone. My analysis is provided below.
I purchased a HTC U23 Pro and after having used it for some time I now have an opinion.
It includes some problems I have with it, but due to not receiving assistance from HTC support I want to provide my opinion externally.
I am currently using OnePlus N10 5G (with Android 11) and Sony XZ2 (with Android 10), which I am therefore referencing ti against.
1. The networking is bad, and I have often problems getting it to connect with both mobile data and WiFi, when my reference mobiles will connect.
2. The battery is used up rather quickly, possibly due to the screen power usage. The screen is good in normal light, but not extraordinary in high light situations. I don't do games, so I don't know about the screen performance for games.
3. The camera is OK in normal day light situations, but not in low light, not in close ups and not with an easy selection of parameters when doing a picture taking. The 108mpix proposing is useless as it doesn't provide any improvement over the standard 12mpix setting.
4. The closeup option is only fixed-focus and therefore difficult to use, so not really an option for a user, but just something to put on the label.
5. The side positioned finger print sensor is not working well, and will not always react on a saved finger print, and I also experienced that the system suddenly deleted/forgot the saved fingerprints I and, so I had to redo it all.
