mylosh, 22 Dec 2015I'm gonna get it everybody sad it's brilliant!! + it's only... moreMine will not stay on 4G keeps shifting to E signal (Edge) extremely slow. Bluetooth keeps switching off while travelling and at times will not reconnect until engine is switched off and back on again in car.
Any advice?

If you have mobile data or wifi activated and the screen goes off for a while lets say 5min then you do not get any message alerts from whatsapp and facebook mesenger.
(even though I have allowed them to stay active in the power management section)
I have to manually press the wake up button and notice several messages that were sent earlier and this is frustrating.

I have very little storage?? I have only a few games but quite a few photos but still not that many and it keeps saying i have low storage?

I brought this phone a few months back and all the information from the top of the screen keeps disserpering... Eg... Time signal ect... Plus when I do anything the screen keeps jumping... Anyone got an ideai what's wrong before I have to take it back...?

Been using this phone for three days now and have encountered this problem,,.
When requsted to input on phone characters, only numbers appear not letters.
E.g. request is typing in my TV Box I.d. which is E6E5D7EE2 only the number shows and not the letters.
Even transfering monies to other account cannot be done because description is letter based and they do not show too.
I am wondering if the phone has got a problem.
The keybourd/input method is working fine.

The Huawei Y500 is an absolutely incredible phone. Had mine now for a year and no problems whatsoever. Paid $A45 brand new (half price on sale / model clearout) with a $50 one month phone credit included. Used the $50 credit - so the phone actually cost me nothing! Only downside - phone was locked - but sorted that out for $A20. Headset volume too low, and low internal storage - I agree with other blogger's views on this - but hey - not much to complain about. Get a 32GB micro SD and no drama! Screen glass does not need plastic cover as it is incredibly scratch resistant. Never had a cover on mine - and it is as good as new - a reflection of the quality. The pictures it takes are really quite amazing. This phone is so good - I recommended it to my mates, and then they bought 7 of them! It is very well made. How can others charge so much for smart phones, when this one is 4G - as cheap as chips - and does everything theirs does? Go Huawei!

After having the phone for almost 1 year and working perfect especially for the money it cost now i hane problem with the cpu temp.It is overheating without doing almost nothing,60c and 72 when i am online or running an app.Any thougths and solution?

Surprise a couple of days ago, system software update available.
Allowed it to DL and install, backed up but didn't factory reset/restore as suggested.
Android Version in About Phone is 4.4.4
No idea what improvements or changes are included (nothing really documented other than stability).
In the past year I've had 4 spontaneous reboots during phone calls and maybe 1 or 2 in other situations so maybe/hopefully it's addressing that issue.
Oh, and the UI is still the same, ie iPhone wannabee, annoying rubbish. The cure for that is another launcher, e.g. Nova which for about 10 months has been stable with this phone.

Dump the EMUI interface to get a better phone:
~ Install 'Google Now' from Play Store
~ Settings -- Home = 'Google Now Launcher'
Now you get classic 'droid screens + voice input.
Say "OK Google," to activate voice commands...

Hey guys.. I'm looking for some phone with this specification (not high price).
- 1-2 GB Ram / 4-8 GB Internal.
- 5-8 MP Camera - Front Camera 2-5MP (Good resolution of pics)
- No lag problems (I get Lg L9 last time and this is freaking me out)
My friend tell me about Huawei y550 or BLU C5+5 but i want other opinions here..
I have 1 week to take my choice so.. Thanks for your opinion.
