Because this is 2019 model there is a built-in google play so dont worry about app. And also my mate 20x is running now in harmonyOS with google play built-in.

I am planning to buy now this in Aug 2022 due to huge size however I am concerned about if WhatsApp, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram will work fine or will it cause some issues as these apps keep upgrading very frequently

I just got my hands on a brand new Mate 20 X 5G, paid 370 dollars for it & after setting it up, and downloading 11 system updates, this beast is now running on EMUI 12.1 with June security updates.
I'm honestly amused that this phablet is still performing like a champ, yes I know, no headphone jack no 90/120Hz refresh rate no wireless charging, but I don't need any of that.
The camera is still nothing but amazing, media consumption is really nice on it's screen, performance overall is still top notch.

Anonymous, 02 Feb 2022can anybody confirm that there really is a blue color versi... moreNo it's only in green in the 5g version.. If you want blue you have to get the old non 5g version which has a headphone jack and a bigger battery but less ram 6gb not 8gb like the newer version 5g one has
