Mills, 27 Dec 2023Inspired as in looks like/resembles the Dynamic Island, whi... moreAndroid phones had an island in the center years before Apple. Even those P50, S20 etc. Apple ditched notched they copied from Sharp just last year with iPhone 14 Pro.
Xiaomi had it in March 2020. Huawei in September 2020. Samsung had it in September 2019 with Note 10. LG - August 2020. And so on. Apple jumped on the bandwagon just in September 2022. Reason is quite simple though - Apple has nothing to do with it. They did not invent notches, they did not invent holes. It's just display manufacturers started manufacturing those screens.

That Pill and wallpaper is inspired by Apple? Before Dynamic Island, no one used pill notches, only Infinity-O displays or New Infinity (under display camera)
