This was my first smartphone that a friend gifted to me, I'm not a heavy user but it's been running without fault for 9 years. It is finally time for me to upgrade because I need an app that requires Android 7 and above while this phone only upgrade to 6.0.
I will miss it and I can only hope my next phone is as stable as this one has been for me.

A friend of mine given me as a gift it can run all modern apps .and also specialy the YouTube many devices stop because their old hardware and software system but this is a hero good device huawei p8 lite.

Alyyan, 14 Jan 2023I suggest don't use this phon if you forget screen loc... moreThis was a good phone for its time. I got mine in 2016 for Eur 200 and it has lasted 8 years.
The phone is still functional, though obviously there are new budget phones twice as good for half the price these days available.
The battery life has significantly degraded. From full charge to zero it takes approximately 2 hours of active browsing, which is reduced to about 1h if active data transmission like GPS or BT is used and the screen is at maximum brightness. Recharging takes about 4 hours with the charger.
Oftentimes apps become unresponsive and crash, though this has only started as of late. You cannot run heavy apps or really watch videos above 480p on the device anymore. The power button broke down and got stuck inside the phone frame after about 7 years of service but the phone can still be turned on with backup boot.
The screen has sustained moderate blemishing from mechanical wear but no actual cracks on the surface. The backside is a bit deformed due to slight swelling of the battery.
The flip cover I got with it has sustained major blemishes and scratches, wear and tear. It does still hold together although the magnet now merely clings to the cover.
I would not buy Huawei again considering the information security issues with Chinese smartphones, but from a technical standpoint this was a good phone.

I suggest don't use this phon if you forget screen lock you have to Lost your important data this phone have no back password option like forget password .if that have this feature you may replace your password by confirm your Google account or security question I think its totally dead phone

I had the same problem so I installed a new battery and its fine now

still using this phone 7 years after first purchsing it and it's still working as the first day and not had any issues with it.

I really loved this phone. This was my first HUAWEI.
And still working fine :) But not with EMUI 3.1 it's EMUI 4.0.3

finnaly after 7 years (apporx) it breaked completely
Not a good gaming experience with it as compared to my infinix (Almost same prize)
but still its 7 year old so come on
Pretty good if i say so my self
tbh it was good for before but now there are better huaweis in the market
so yeah
the phone i will rate it 8.53/10

Everything is still working in my p8 lite ale-l21 alice with the [ROM][7.1.2][ OpenKirin's RROS v5.8.5 For Huawei P8Lite ][Update 02/03/2018], just placed a new batery 10€ :)
2 sims/ a 64gb sd card, have to b carefull because of the batery, so just FB lite, wstap, insta, telegrm, no chrome, google go, as browser use opera., still very much usable
