The G40 Fusion is a far better phone. Motorola's Moto G naming scheme is all over the place.

As a frequent Motorola user for almost 10 years, this G50 have over 2 years. Great phone which have plenty space with 64GB and fast enough with 4GB built in memory.
Only down is the Sim, micro connection which can be disconnect the phone when the drops on the ground. Needs restart, very annoyed

some people couldnt go back to 720p if they have their previous phones with higher res like 1080p and 1440p.

After 18 months of usage i can easily say this is the best smartphone i ever owned. You can always trust it. I also had top smartphones like iPhone and Galaxy but this is just perfect for me. 14 hours on screen, 2/3 days without charger. Good processor, can do whatever i want pretty smoothly, gaming included. Camera is the best i ever seen on a budget phone.
I know friends with G51 and G52 but this is still superior in terms of battery life (thanks to HD)

If you have 200€ to spend and don't know what phone to buy, get this one you will not be disappointed.

I'm using my Samsung S21 Ultra with the resolution 720x1600, being a bigger screen phone, and believe me, you can't find any difference with the higher resolutions, you can't see the dots. Also you save battery and gain user time. I really don't understand why we need displays with more than 1080 dots (full hd) with these tiny screens, while 720 seems to be enough for screens of 6.8"

For the main camera the same thing. Unfortunately the reviews on the review sites are never criticizing these engineerings. They are just another idiots.

I'm from Romania, and the phone got the upgrade to Android 12 since March the 1st 2022. Generally it is getting updates each 2 months. The screen is good, you cannot see the dots (and I have a good eyesight). Why do we need more dots if we can't see them even at 720p resolution? Just for the waste of battery and resources. It is the same evil marketing as the number of pixels in the main camera. The Snapdragon 480 is a capable platform, modern and fast for just 3W of power consumption. It has everything you need, NFC, radio, 5G phone, dual band wi-fi, a very competent/capable main camera (you don't see such camera at even double the price phones), USB Type-C 2.0, USB On-The-Go for a very good price. Took from Romania for under 200$. I'm very pleased with the Motorola engineers ideas with competent/capable phones with very long running on a single charge of the battery (we all love that). The review on the GsmArena is a shame from themselves. I hope Motorola will not give up at this type of engineering and align to the main stream type of phone engineering. Congratulations Motorola.

Not always that most users can say the after an os update their improve so much.

It's so great, battery life is superb, I use it all the time, 5G etc, and I still have more than 50% left at the end of the day. Honestly this is the best phone I ever used for this price incant find anything better than this.

Even it's an IPS LCD , the screen has good color reproduction, and its responsive.
Camera produces ok pics that end user will enjoy.

Thanks moto this is a great phone nice job

It's a superb budget device. Snapdragon 480 is fine enough, it receives android 12 and security patches every 2 months. Battery life it's the best I ever seen in any smartphone (if you lock to 60hz it lasts 2-3 days with 12+ hours on screen)
And this phone has JK50 battery so when it's dead is easy to replace and find another spare battery.
Very good device, even better than G52
Only the display is a bit ugly on G50

                                        Updated to Android 12.
Not sure I'd buy another one. Lenovo are flooding the market with copies of their own phones but asking for more money! This is the last update for this model & was hoping for more improvements such as improved fingerprint recognition. Material You doesn't work well with other launchers so all the fanfare about Android 12 kinda falls flat on its face for me. I can't stand the Fisher Price look of iOS so it's disappointing to see google moving in that direction. Lastly, waiting for updates when google seem only interested in pushing Pixels. Enough of trying to be Apple already!
