I'm trying to help someone set up and be able to use the Nokia 2720 V Flip. Trying is about all I've been able to get done after several hours. The endeavor is about as confusing as anything can get. I use an iphone, so of course it's taking time to adjust but this level of effort to get nowhere is insane. He doesn't have access to any of his old-phone's contacts and I can't even enter the first new contact successfully or get clear instructions about how to do it the way the phone needs for it to be done. I would continue to feel a bit too dumb to work with a "dumb" phone, but reading reviews changed my attitude. This phone's name is Nightmare and it's not entirely my fault.

Can this be used as a hotspot for mobile data? (So I can access internet from laptop through bluetooth)

I am so disappointed with sound quality of this phone and who puts a volume control button on the side?!I just needed talk and text and Verizon gives me this phone,so stupid!

I got this from Verizon free because the 3G shut down. I'm not big on phones, but this has to be one of the worst pieces of garbage I have ever used. My old flip phone wasn't the best phone, but it sure did beat this one. Verizon now is offering me a choice of two other phones for free if I sign up for a three-year contract and more than likely would have to change plans to a higher priced plan. It is a shame that the FCC doesn't protect us from being preyed upon by these phone companies. My advice, stay away from Nokia and Verizon.

Cant read the writing on text messages. When you close it it does not go to home screen you have to back up 5 screens the next time you open it. It is crap.

I was forced to buy a Nokia 2720 as one of two miserable choices through Verizon for a 5g flip phone. It is garbage with 26 'apps', no obvious alert when messages arrive, texting is a joke. It is the worst cell phone I have ever had, my beloved LG is wonderful, but won't work after 2022, a handy way to make millions more. I am getting rid of that phone tomorrow and buying an LG elsewhere. Corporate entities are nothing but thieves, I cannot wait to get rid of this Nokia.

Did you figure out how to respond to a text msg with a text msg ? I did figure that much out & can help if you need it. I agree the phone is a piece of junk. My microphone is very touchy--can be hard to hear me if I barely move ! And no apostrophe !! Fortunately I only make calls & texts, no need for data, so I'll muddle through as it was free. Would have been nice to have a user's guide, but apparently that's expecting way too much, lol ! At least it has emojis but the newness of those will probably wear off in time.

I could not figure out how to reply to a text message with a text message, so I contacted Tech Support. Their first response was worthless, so I resubmitted. The second response was ridiculously convoluted. The short answer is, there is no easy or intuitive way to respond to text messages. Also, the scroll button does not actually scroll down to allow you to read to the end of a text message. You can only read the first little bit. You have to call the sender and ask what they said. Phone is a piece of junk.

Absolutely ridiculous to set up. Just received it. Was on phone with verizon for 2 hours and still could not get it set up. Will drop back in the mail. Absolute WASTE OF TIME!!!!

My husband and I both got this phone in November 2021. Both go off and back on randomly. Sometimes his goes off and will not come back on and he has to remove and reinstall the battery to turn it back on. Are regretting getting saddled with this "free" phone for 2-1/2 years. Had to upgrade because we had 3G phones. Only way to get another phone is to pay for these and I understand the restocking fee of $50 will also apply. Nokia and Verizon are both not helpful in resolving this. Feeling kind of sick about it. And we are elderly.
