I have the galaxy a54 fore 5 months naw, srs fore the price is the best samsung out there. the battery amaizing, the display amaizing the procesor not laggy at all, the cameras... hmmm not bad they OK. but fore the price is a real G.

This phone will receive 4 years of software updates which includes android 13 14 15 and 16 which is impressive for a budget phone and if you don’t believe me you can look it up online

Had this for 2 years. Laggy at the start but ever since oneui 6 has been running smoothly and never missed a beat. The camera is fine, nothing special, but pretty good. Wish it had a telephoto instead of the useless macro. The screen is fine, a bit on the dark side, and when you are outdoors you can clearly see the fingerprint reader inside the screen when the sun shines on the screen. The durability is horrible. I dropped this from my pocket and the screen stopped working and shattered totally. I got it replaced for 49€ on Care+. The battery lasts me for over 3 days. I don't use my phone a lot except for remoting into my desktop which is fine. The phone is too big, even for my big hands, keep in mind this is because I came from an iPhone 8, but this is still not acceptable! My complaint is with the CPU. Switching between apps or trying to do split screen slows this phone down quite much, keep in mind this is the top model with 8GB of RAM! The screen has one downside: bad resolution. I have quite bad vision and when I hold the phone closer (around 15 cm from my face) you can spot the pixels very easily. Overall it's not worth it anymore. Get the a55 or a used a33, because its the same phone but cheaper and with just worse cameras.

Enjoyed my A53 for two years but a recent reinstallation and update to 6.0 means Google Store won't update and won't open without update. This is a common error usually solved by
Clear Cache/Clear Data > Switch phone off and on > Update App. Still doesn't work. Also tried the sign in and out solution.
Phones no fun without Goodlock... Need to upgrade... S24 Ultra should do the trick £1200... Yea.... I'm that thick! :)
Forgive my rant, i'm a little salty but i'm still going Pixel instead.

I mean- its alright. Actually no, it's good (for some parts). It has an excellent camera, the colors our super natural, and attention to detail is amazing. This phone aint cutting corners in photography. The only problem is performance. It lags, has slow downs after startup, and an overall slow charging speed. In my opinion, I would give it a 7/10. I miss my old OnePlus 7T and my Galaxy S8 tbh..

The audacity samsung had to release it at the time when a33 had the same chip as this one, so like... no performance upgrade for higher price? And now it's also even on their latest phones like m34 or a25... Avoid such models that come with this processor!

My A53 has been just below Meh and above I-can't-stand-it-need-a-new-phone-asap. I loved my A71 5G and thought this would be the next gen Samsung I was looking for, good overall specs compared to the flagship, but it's laggy, not as smooth, booting takes forever, it's just overall not a happy phone. And more mad bc I should have waited a month and got the cheaper Pixel 8 on black friday for less than this mid-level samsung. lessons learned.

Decent device and modestly rugged.
Mine is on android 14 with the March 1 security patch update and everything is running smoothly.
Great SOT and battery life is good also.

I accidentally clicked the updated button after months of refusing to update.
My phone is not the same ever since. Everything is buggy and laggy now. Shame on you samsung for forcing updates on people! I'm thinking about moving to Xiaomi.
DO NOT UPDATE TO One UI 6.0 !

There's lots of bugs. The person below me posted a link to the EU forum and that's exactly what's happening to me. Further, there's lag and mistouch when I'm playing a simple game like brawl stars.
Lag when you close apps, sometimes the touch doesnt respond. Can't believe all this is happening in a year of using the phone. It struggles in basic stuff. But I think it's a good phone if you don't mind the slow camera shutter speed and only use it to browse and attend calls. Multitasking experience isn't good.
