looking forward to replace it after having it for years (the cracks on the screen is getting uncomfortable and old unsupported android). This time I'll be picking for mom. Mom only got it since carrier was offering for free years ago without knowing what good phone specs where. Did last us a long time and did what it was meant to do as a phone but of course quite slowly and not the best quality of course given the specs (the image quality and sound). i will miss the headphone jack and the easily removable battery ngl. battery didn't last that long BUT it charges to 100% quite fast so cancels out. I don't use my phone that much so space wasn't an issue. However for mom it was. so she did have a sd card. with that said 9gb of apps for a 14gb phone, so yeah... a lot of our apps are incompatible so another reason why we really should change.

      oh, this baby lasted me 4 years! the storage is abyssal, but have a 200gb micro sd and you only have to worry about apps. the size is a little big for my tiny hands, but it was the only samsung with both an sd card slot and a jack slot. but now its starting to lag, and not use bluetooth or wifi sometimes. upgrading to the a52 5g.

        Anonymous, 05 Jun 2022Can I wireless charge this phone No wireless. Theres youtube videos to add an aftermarket wireless which looks easy to do. I'm using the phone and im happy with it. It accepts a big sd card. A problem is most of the bullshit preloaded uninstallable apps take up almost the whole internal so get a clean version if you can. Bluetooth works well, battery life is pretty good. If I bluetooth music all day at work and the commute itll eat up most of the battery but it's nightly charge is typically good for all day use. Its hard to use one handed cause its so wide (talking about the 3 buttons at the bottom. Back, home, applist.) My thumb can't stretch to hit the button comfortably. I solved this problem by using a button remapper app for like $2, very much worth it. I duplicated the left and right button and made them both "back" so I can use it with both hands and not stretch. The middle button I made quickpress = homescreen and hold brings up applist. Overall I wish it was a little smaller (4.6 inch xperia z5 compact was perfect) but it's acceptable and works for everything I do. Removable battery is nice cause I broke my old phone changing the battery which was just as bad anyway...

When getting a call there should be a circle with a green phone to answer and circle with a red phone to decline. You press the desired one and drag your finger outside the circle in any direction and let go. That should answer or decline the call.

                Hello its me again (TLP location tag), yes I still own this phone after 2 (3) years and it's beginning to show its age (though that's because my apps are updated and stuff)

                I'm gonna get a new phone before I start university this September and this phone has served me well, though one or two things I must note before I make my final(?) post on this phone:

                1. 16GB storage is just not enough these days (it never was but it was manageable for a semi-casual user like me in 2019 and 2020), I have a 64GB sdcard with all my screenshots and photos and im still

                  If you're looking for flagship performance from a sub $100 phone forget it, but if you just want a good reliable phone for general apps like email, banking etc, and you just need to make calls and text people, then this is a pretty descent little phone. I picked one up (SM-J337A) because ATT is going to shut off 3G in February and unless your current phone can connect over 4G LTE VoLTE, then you won't be able to make voice calls. My current J7 Neo (SM-J701M) connects to both T-Mobile and ATT just fine on 4G LTE, except when you go to make a call, then it falls back to a 3G connection. I think the the era of BYOD is almost over, because both ATT and T-Mobile are limiting which devices will work on their VoLTE (Voice over Long Term Evolution) networks. Just as an example, this ATT branded J3, although it has the correct LTE Bands for T-Mobile, and is carrier unlocked, it will not connect to the T-Mobile network, no matter what the APN settings are or how many times you refresh the network settings. I have heard they are limiting connections to the networks based on IMEI. Not sure what the SM-J337U (factory unlocked version) will do. It may work on both ATT & T-Mobile, or neither. I have one on the way to try out though as I use both networks. Kinda makes a guy want to stick to the cheaper phones if they're going to start playing games like this. Who wants to pay $1K for a phone and then find out that it won't work on your preferred network - like the new Samsung Galaxy Excover Pro - no T-Mobile access - even though it has the correct bands. Anyway, I digress - The J3 (SM-J337A/T/U) is a damn descent little phone, and as a bonus it has the 3.5mm Jack AND you can remove the battery as well. Grab the Incipio case for it and you're good to go.

                    This phone is an overall downgrade from the 2017 version. It's made of plastic instead of aluminum, which it was premium-feeling for the 2017 version, they downgraded the rear camera from 13MP to 8MP, and it only lasts until Android 9 (but worst of all some models are stuck at Oreo).

                                I believe you have a bad phone. Mine is fantastic. Although I got a promo at the end of 2017, 2GB RAM/32GB ROM, I have never had a glitch, never, not with anything.

                                I also know how to set it up for peak efficiency, better battery life, etc.

                                Next time, buy a $250-300 Samsung (A or M series) with good advice from someone who knows what you need and how to set it up for you.

                                Sorry. Samsung has a buyer beware policy just like everyone else. I suspect you have probably waited too long to access any warranty, but contact Samsung anyway. They do have professional pride in their product, which is nice.

                                    If leaving your phone plugged in for a few days does not help, try doing a remote reset. Look it up on Google, but it's simple.

                                    Turn your machine off (ha ha), plug it in, press the power button and the volume down button together and keep them pressed for 20-30 seconds, even if/when the screen pops up.

                                    I have done this twice on different devices. It worked once. The other time it didn't. So I took it in for diagnostics. Smartphone batteries are built to be used constantly. Until 2020, many batteries drained to the point that they don't have enough power to turn on and recharge.

                                    Android OS platforms also have failsafe programming that is not foolproof and ends up tripping on itself. A soft (remote) reset may or may not fix this.

                                    Also (many manufacturers will deny this), there are tiny batteries integrated into circuitry to maintain internal clock, gps, etc. that draw power via switches that 1) draw power when device is off and 2) sometimes don't switch and screw up the lines.

                                        Your battery's puff is a legitimate danger, but it will leak and/or ignite before it explodes. TAKE IT OUT AND PUT IT IN A GLASS CUP OR JAM JAR. You may still use it, but beware...

                                        You will not get a refund or free replacement. It will be explained that you misused the phone by constant exposure to hot environment (your pocket), the device not being turned off daily, and/or not allowing the device to drain sufficiently before charging or constantly keeping it plugged in while on or off.
