Infinix Note 40 series to arrive with a dedicated charging chip called Cheetah X1

Infinix is launching the Note 40 lineup on March 18, the company confirmed last week. The company now confirmed some of the phones will have a dedicated Cheetah X1 chip, handling charging processes.

The chip will deliver what Infinix brands All-Round FastCharge 2.0, which reportedly can reach 260W wired and 110W wireless charging, but the announcement revealed that the X1 will support only 100W rates in the current devices.

The Infinix Cheetah X1 chip will optimize the charging rates to protect the battery's health. There will be real-time monitoring, ensuring a balance between speed and temperature, extending the life of the cell.

The platform will provide eight charging scenarios for wired, wireless, and reverse wired and reverse wireless charging, including battery handling during the night or in extreme temperatures.

Safety is guaranteed by a 63-level safety shield, a module designed to protect the device against potential risks with automatic intervention and user alerts. In addition, Infinix said it shrunk the Cheetah X1 to an “incredibly small” size for faster processing, improved performance, and a lighter, more comfortable phone.
