Karbonn Titanium Hexa, Octane Plus and Octane go official

19 March, 2014

Karbonn Mobiles, an Indian smartphone manufacturer, has announced three new smartphones - Titanium Hexa, Titanium Octane Plus and Titanium Octane. All three will be up for grabs by the end of April.

Karbonn Titanium Hexa

Karbonn Titanium Hexa is the first smartphone to feature MediaTek's newest MT6591 hexa-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz. The chipset is based on the Dual-Cluster, Dual-Active architecture, which allows all the six cores to run simultaneously.

The Titanium Hexa sports a 5.5-inch display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and features 2 GB of RAM, 13 megapixel rear camera and 16 GB of memory with the ability to expand it via microSD card. The dual-SIM smartphone runs on Android 4.4 KitKat and packs a 2,050mAh battery.

Karbonn Titanium Octane Plus

The Octane Plus comes with a 5-inch Full HD display and is powered by MediaTek MT6592 octa-core processor running at 1.7 GHz. There is 2 GB of RAM to help the device run smoothly and 16 megapixel rear camera along with the 8 megapixel front facing shooter to let you capture high quality images.

Karbonn newest addition comes with 16 GB of onboard memory and supports expansion via the microSD card. As usual, there is a wide range of connectivity option, but the device lacks 4G LTE connectivity. Just like the Titanium Hexa, the Octane is also powered by the Android 4.4 KitKat. Lastly, the juice for the smartphone is provided by a 2,000mAh battery.

Karbonn Titanium Octane

Karbonn Titanium Octane is the scaled down version of the Octane Plus. The device sports a 5-inch 720p display instead of a 1080p panel. The same MT6592 octa-core processor is powering the smartphone, while the RAM has been trimmed down from 2GB to 1GB.

The 13 megapixel rear camera and a 5 megapixel front facing shooter complete the camera department. Titanium Octane's connectivity options include WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and HSPA+ (42.2 Mbps down). The 2,000mAh battery is providing the juice.

Karbonn has already announced the pricing details for all the three devices. The Titanium Hexa will cost INR 16,990 (about $280), while the Titanium Octane Plus and Octane are priced at INR 17,990 (about $295) and INR 14,490 (about $240) respectively.
