LG Optimus 7 won't get WP7.8 update says LG Poland

23 November, 2012

We got a lot of good news about the Windows Phone 7.8 update lately, but every streak comes to an end as we now have a particularly unpleasant piece of information to share with you. The LG Optimus 7, which was one of the first Windows Phone handsets and is currently running version 7.5 of the OS, will not be getting updated to version 7.8.

This info comes from LG’s branch in Poland and may not apply to all regions, but LG has not officially announced anything else regarding the Optimus G.

This move shouldn’t come as a big surprise as LG decided to step away from Windows Phone to focus on Android (the company won’t be releasing Windows Phone 8 handsets).

But it will get 7.8.

That's right Lg LG is sinking and they know it.   I have lg4xhd and ics. LG has no plans to update this great phone. I'm going to sell it and get me a nexus or s3. Never buy a phone again unless examining how the manufacturer has updated.
