I absolutely agree with you. I've been using a Xiaomi PocoPhone F1 (along with the custom ROM Crdroid) since 2019 and it works like a charm.

It is said that this shouldn't be a problem as long as there's enough cooling, flagship phones have been seating the ram on top the processor for years, and is still doing it now like the s24 ultra

In my opinion, people should check their use case first before deciding on getting the pro or non-pro verson. Like, look at the max clockspeed of the pro version's Dimensity 8300 Ultra, 3.35GHz. That will definitely degrade the RAM chip, the CPU or the motherboard itself a lot faster than an average laptop cpu and gpu, considering that a phone usually has no ventilation system and the passive cooling won't do much. If you're okay with a phone that'll last approximately 1-2 years, then you should get the pro version. If you want a phone that can last slightly longer, get the non-pro version since even though the Snapdragon 7s gen 2 is made with Samsung's fab, it has a only has a max clockspeed of 2.4GHz. The performance not be as great for gaming but the CPU is like a better version of the Snapdragon 855+/860. Either way, pick your poison. Budget and performance oriented phones are cheap, but they wont last you longer than 4 years like the ones made in pre-2017.

I've been using Android phones from almost every brand since 2013. I've used this Xiaomi's poco phones as well. I had a x3, x3 pro and my experience wasn't very good with them. It was average at best. They get hot, they're bulky, UI is very bad, updates ruin experience everytime and then there's connectivity issues. So far I've used Xiaomi, Realme, Motorola, Samsung, TCL, Vivo and some others and Samsung, Motorola are way better than these Chinese brands.

Nah I have friends with Poco F and X series who have been using them for 3 years... So don't comment shit about a phone brand without using it... I left Iphone for Poco cause I know what they are capable of... The problem with these phones is only MIUI! Ruining them...

Updated to HyperOS and broke 50% of the features. Data won't connect to the Internet, apps won't load, messages don't arrive, can't change display size or themes, signal drops or goes away completely. The phone is useless. Wait for another, more stable update or the phone will become e-waste.
