Motorola at CeBIT 2005

Motorola today announced a set of new handsets, the Motorola V557, V280, V270, V176, V1050 and V1150, as well as compelling applications to enhance the convenience and usability of the phones.

Motorola V557, а sleek clamshell device, strikes with its VGA camera, EDGE (Enhanced Data Global Evolution) and Bluetooth technology. V557 will be the first handset to debut SCREEN3 technology solution, Motorola’s new personal mobile portal service, providing uninterrupted access to information, entertainment and more. A Push-to-Talk over Cellular version of the V557 will be available in the near future.
The Motorola V557 is expected to be available in Q2 2005.

Leveraging the elegant look and feel of the SLVR family, the new Motorola SLVR V280 offers an array of tools for self-expression at an affordable price, including a VGA digital camera with 4x zoom, video capture and playback, and photo album creation tools. PoC, Bluetooth technology and advanced messaging provides for the always-in-touch capability of the phone, whether with people or other compatible devices.
The Motorola SLVRcam V280 is expected to be available in the second half of 2005.

Creating a mobile cinema experience, the new 3G Motorola V1050 (showcased this week at CeBit in Hannover) offers the ability to view music videos and movies on the go, along with a 1.23 megapixel camera, 2-way video calling and Bluetooth technology.

Tangibly slim, the new 3G Motorola V1150 (also showcased this week at CeBit) delivers plenty of useful multimedia tools including a 2 megapixel camera, real-time 2-way video calling, image capture and editing and ample storage of data. This flip phone also offers Motorola’s new SCREEN3 technology solution for a streaming ticker of personalized news and entertainment information.

Other recently announced camera-enabled handsets include the Motorola V635, delivering a 1.23 megapixel camera and EDGE for quick and easy sharing; the Motorola 3G E1060 also featuring a 1.23 megapixel camera for still photography and video capture; the new A1010 with a 2 megapixel camera, and the 3G powered Motorola E1120 with a 3 megapixel camera with a full, horizontal landscape display.

Motorola enhances its mobile experiences with applications for sharing and printing images: 1) At Home – the phones wirelessly connect with home printers for easy picture printing, 2) At Retail – ease of sharing phones’ images to retail kiosks through Bluetooth technology, 3) Online – Motorola’s camera-phones give mobile users the ability to send images from their handsets to online photo services, 4) From Phone to PC and Back Again – available with Motorola “Pocket Album” service, powered by technology from Avvenu, a newly announced Motorola alliance.
