Hands down my favorite phone.

Saddly I got mugged and lost it several years ago, but damn I enjoyed it while it lasted.

I remember using an android kitkat ROM on it and it worked fairly well, aesthetics were unmatched.

Though the battery was 3300 mAh, efficiency wasn't very good because it's battery life wasn't outstanding.

To give you an idea if you never owned one, modern phones are orders of magnitude more powerful but have batteries that aren't much larger, yet a lot of them have twice as much battery life as this phone.

Basically, imagine if your battery lasted only half of what it does. That's this phone. Yet, during it's prime, it was quite a beast compared to most competition.

We've come far, haven't we?

I'm planning on buying it second hand at some point, just because, that's how much I liked it.

Gripman, 08 Jul 2018Probably the BEST no-nonsense phone ever made by Motorola (... moreJust an update . . . Almost 5 yrs since my original post and our Razr Maxx's are still kicking w/ almost as much battery charge duration as most new phones! I would buy these all over again (or maybe the HD version released slightly later).

Probably the BEST no-nonsense phone ever made by Motorola (thru the current Moto G6) or any other Mfr with incredible battery life rivaling that of all the "latest & greatest"! After 6 years is only now beginning to have microphone issues related to hostile, (damp/dirty) environment, and charge life only minimally diminished (still well over 2 days heavy talk-time & 5 day+ stand-by!). The Super Amoled display under Corning Gorilla Glass is sharp as ever. If Verizon had not arbitrarily elected to discontinue 4G service to these phones (spec'd by, marketed as, and sold by Verizon as 4G LTE) clearly to force upgrade to later models much less durable, we would prefer to purchase these all over again over any of the latest models/brands. NOTABLE PROS: Extremely long battery life; Durable & feature rich for field personnel (VZ Navigation is great). CONS: Comes w/ bloatware; Latest OS Updates w/ undesirable changes were pushed to phones w/o User acceptance!; VZ has unilaterally disabled 4G on most of these phones.
