The best smooth and bugless rom is Android 10 latest build. No problems and im very happy with this nice 5 inch pocket.

I don't like this phone one the power line spoils fast the battery dies fast it offs unknownly the phone is too slippery

Nice portable phone no stress but a little thing I nice switch off by itself and no charging signal atleast a red light to indicate it's charging and a green light to show that it's fully charged.

Phone works well once you add some memory.
Completely stock and no issues with any apps.

Hi, I have MotoG5 since 2018, six months back cracks appeared after a
gentle slip, with with gradually growing black dots. When checked display to be changed and now experiencing unstable recharging. What to do next? Is it worth to replace or service. If so where to do at Chennai,India

I've had no problems with it. Maybe you should root and download a custom ROM into it

Hey there! I am the user of Motorola moto G5 ,
I observed and noticed that, this is the best mobile
in Androids . When it was new , it was working smartly.
But later, I am facing a lot of issues like it is being switched off
And automatically switching on , it is repeating many times .
and iam facing the problem of media ,voices of calls,ringtone,
I mean all types of sounds are not coming completely sometimes
But sometimes they are coming someward.
I will grateful to you if take an action on this comment

Mine has also died on me. Weird so many people's have around now. Hey have any of you considered they add hardware/software timebombs so that these things stop working after a rough period of time 🤔

I bought this phone back in 2017 for 220€ and it was the best phone I ever used. Unfortunately, motherboard died after five years... RIP the best phone ever...

Purchased August 2017, always used as main phone. Smashed into concrete without a case twice when out running and fell out of arm holder, but screen is fine. Great phone, sadly 2022 is a bit too much for its memory, and the battery is both small and way past its best, taking a very long time to charge and running down fast. Still, nearly 5 years from a cheap phone is amazing.

I've had mine since 2018 but I'm afraid many of the newer apps are just a little too much for the cpu/chipset. I wasn't planning on replacing it but then it started turning itself off every few minutes. I guess it's time.

I have it for 3-4 years. No problem so far, I don't use it for games, so it works fine. I'm delaying bying new phone 'cause one almost can't find a phone with 5 inches display.

Most reliable phone I've ever owned. Mine has been to hell and back. It outlived its first battery, and probably over 1000 drops with just a cheap case on it. I replaced the screen when it broke and the battery when it started to fizzle out after years just because it's worth keeping around as a backup. There's nothing special about the hardware, they just built it to last and the octacore just barely gets it by for newer apps and a smooth user experience. If you want to, you can install Lineage OS yourself and have android 11 on it. That comes with security and utility improvements, but can also bring performance issues with higher end apps due to the 2gb ram.
