awesome phone! i bought it in november 2006 and i am still using it. i admire its durability. the unit i bought was assembled in singapore but i heard that motorola is now farming out labor where most cheap phones are produced. i just hope it would not affect the craftsmanship motorola is known for.

fumozhe, 16 Jul 2012had it for 2 years (2007-2009 if m not mistaken). never had... moreI had one of these phones for like two years and I don't quite agree with the limited games and themes. For the games, as long as the size is 176x220 and not greater than 1MB, the game will run fine. And as for the themes, there are certain sites that offers thousand of free themes so long as you know how to do it. I was changing themes like crazy those days and it was fun.

had it for 2 years (2007-2009 if m not mistaken). never had any hang/ freeze/ reset by itself (frequently dropped the phone like 10-20 times). but the phone's a bit slow. camera's quality wasn't as good as its other competitors. i liked the keypad, comfortable to use 4me. the metal part (like D-pad) got rusted (or the outer layer just faded? not sure). loved the slim style. realized the display size was too small. couldn't play all mp3 files. could still install 3rd-party java games, but limited choices of games. very limited choices of themes (as expected of motorola). overall, decent phone worth its price.

bought l7 in 2006 ,it survived being submerged in water on many occasions and once in a river, was washed once with detergent survived that too, survived being dropped from motorcycle at 60km/hr(got a scratch on screen).few times used as a weapon to throw on friends. battery lasted for 12 hours on continuous music play on loud speaker 16-18 hours on headphones.awesome sound clarity.supported nearly all java games(only 26 could be installed at a time.swapping between browser, music player, java apps, camera could be done by using shortcut key combinations.haven't still found any mobile to match those features.( now RIP L7 2006-2010)

Mine is giving me a problem,when I put a memory card,it's either it goes off or it wont read but the memory card is 250MB,what can be the problem and what can I do because I really like this phone?

My second Motorola phone in my history. From my experience, it wasn't all that good. The bodyshell itself is pretty solid but the keypad is pretty bad. It cracks after a couple of months and the screen also cracks after a mild impact to the floor. The MP3 player doesn't support most files and even some MP3 files can't be played. Otherwise, the phone is fine and for that price, it was worth the money. A decent phone I'd say...

It has been a wonderful phone to use. I bought it way back 2006 and it hasn't had any problems since then. The only thing is that we cannot find the original battery and the charger jusk like the one it came with. If the original accessories will be available in the market from Motorola manufacturers, that will be fantastic. Thanks.
