I am also wondering how to turn off the text messages that are sent after receiving a new voicemail. Has anyone figured out how to turn them off? (I use US T-mobile)

to go back to the english setting, there is a helpful video on youtube.com just search for n908. has anyone experienced camera problems? i turn on my camera and all i get is a dark screen with the icons still in place. when i try to take a picture, is states capture failed.

I got a NEC N908 december 2006 but 2007 i was trying to set my vioce recorder i noticed that each time i want to rename my record it stops working and there is something else there is something about the reset it changed to chinise language and there is a part on the phone that say click the dirrections up left,down right ,and center i dont know to fix my phone back.pls tell me what to do and to fix it back.thanks.

I love the phone it has a really nice look, but I can't find a way to get games. When my friend bluetooths me a game it doesnt work because the file doesn't go straight to the java box. I don't know what to do. I'd appreciate any help/advice you guys can give me.

I recently got this phone but am having problems using it with my car's bluetooth. The car and phone will sync up but then when a call comes in, I have to answer it from the phone and can't answer from the car (which I could with my last phone.) Solutions?

I'm considering the X830 or NEC N908. Does this phone have voice dailing? Is there any other similar small phone I should consider?

I find the phone really great, especially its look.
I only have a problem with connecting my nec to pc as I don't have cd with drivers. Is there any way to download it from the net? Thanks for help.

I received the phone yesterday from ebay... It looks great, but there is at least 2 big problems.
The camera, once on 3 is gonna give me half a pink screen (I don't know why) and the phone can't even support my MP3 files.
Does anyone know what the problem is?

I have this phone for a couple days now and have been having issues with Bluetooth headset. Does anyone know how to dial out using the headset? It seems like the headset is not picking up dialing out calls. Also have issues with headset staying connected. :(

I've had this phone for a while now, got it off fleabay.. its quite good, I like using it, bit difficult typing messages after a few drinks...messages being sent to the wrong people that kind of thing. But the real thing that Im most dissatisfied about is the Bluetooth, it is under utilised. To install games etc you have to go through the WAP process or the cable process...bluetooth on this phone is specifically for sending images to other bluetooth enabled phones, or as a means of using bluetooth handsfree..NEC should look at integrating bluetooth better, like some sort of bluetooth messaging...bluetooth file transfer between computer and phone...that kind of thing.

some oversea phones don't have automatic band switching or set to manual by default (like my old samsung d720). this means that you may have to change the band selection to 1900mhz to pick up signal in the US.

I goy mine from Dynamism and have had no big issues. I dont think its as strong as my last phone as in signal strength but works and sounds great. To setup on cingular, it worked soon as I put the sim card in. The web access I had to google for some instructions on setting it up to work. Its truely a cool cell phone, small and sleek, its a nice conversation piece, very satisfied purrchase.

I just got my pantech PG6200, which has the same frequency as this phone, 900/1800/1900, and it works, so this phone should work , unless cingular in your arean is 850

I couldn't get a connecting signal for cingular either in an area that does have 1900 as a frequency. Just does emergency only as a mode *shrugs* too bad... this is an awesome phone, sorry to have to sell it now :(

I live in LA, my triband o2 and 7390 work flawlessly with Cingular, so i think that this phone will be ok.

Whether it works well or not depends on your location. If you are in locations that are predominately 1900MHz then it will work well.

I was thinking of buying this phone but has anybody in the US figured out for sure if its service works well on the cingular network i have read a couple of things on here saying it doens't work well
