New Droid phones are coming October 27

Himanshu, 15 October, 2015

The new line of Droid smartphones will be announced on October 27. Motorola and Verizon have sent out press invites for a joint event, which is scheduled for that date in New York City.

As you can see in the image above, the invite carries a tagline of "everything you expect from a phone will change," and the word 'DROIDs' suggests that more than one Droid-branded device will be unveiled.

Going by recent rumors, the carrier could unveil the Droid Turbo 2 (which also has an international variant dubbed the Moto X Force) and/or the Droid Maxx 2 (which is Moto X Play for the rest of the world).
