Android-powered flip phone Philips V800 passes through TENAA

Flip phones used to rule the land, now their habitat has shrunk to a tiny part of the Far Eastern markets. The latest addition is the Philips V800, not official yet, but it passed through TENAA (China's wireless regulator). The phone runs Android 5.1 and has entry-level specs.

It has two identical screens - 3.7" TFTs with 720p resolution (one outside, one inside). There are two cameras as well - one outside, on the back (13MP/1080p) and one on the inside for selfies (5MP).

The Philips V800 measures 19.1mm thick and weighs 206g. There's a reason flip phones fell out of fashion when "thin and light" became the new hotness.

Anyway, it has a quad-core processor at 1.5GHz, it has 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage (thankfully, with a microSD slot). On the plus side, there's LTE connectivity (both global and Chinese flavors).

There's no word on launch date or pricing yet, but since it passed though TENAA it can't be long now.
