Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update starts hitting Nvidia Shield Tablet

Himanshu, 13 May, 2016

Nearly a month after the Nvidia Shield Tablet K1 started receiving it, the Marshmallow update has started hitting the original Shield Tablet as well, bringing Android 6.0.1 as well as the Android security patch for the month of March.

A quick look at the release notes (click the Source link below) suggests that it's exactly the same update that hit the Shield Tablet K1 last month. The update should hit your device soon (if it hasn't already). Meanwhile, you can also manually check for it by heading to the Settings menu on the tablet.

You may want to click the source button for info. Furthermore, the rebadged tablet(named shield tablet k1) got the update first. This news is about the original ones. I got the original version and just updated 10hours ago.

Isn't it available from 2nd week of April which supposed to fix the wi fi and battery usage categorization issue? And the Marshmallow was available even before that.
