I've got absolutely no complaints about this phone it's fast & smooth great battery the camera is not the best but it's good enough for me I want to know if there is going to be an android 14 update on this phone also when is the next security updates due on cubot king Kong Star 5g

I played snake for 1.5 hours and battery was smoking. Turned off the ingame sound, and that helped a little.

I've got mine some weeks ago and could test it thoroughly.
It can keep up to 4 days without charging when using normally. Played Pokémon Go the whole day (approx. 10+ hours screen on) without a powerbank (yay, what a dream) with 40% power left.
It's a decent phone for the price and unexpectedly fast. After the firmware update to D031V_V08_20230825 and the security update 5th September 2023, it runs significantly faster and has much more watchfaces for the display on the back. Speaking of it, this tiny little display turns out to be very useful. Double tap and you can check your battery, time, take photos and even control your music player.
I've been using this outdoors for geocaching. A tip: Go to the developer options and turn force complete GNSS on. That enable you to get the correct heading direction in c:geo app.
The camera is the one point that is a bit disappointing. 100MP, it's worth nothing. The photos looks like comic drawings if you zoom in.
The IR-Cam can make decent photos in total darkness but the IR-LEDs are producing halos on the glass near the sensor. I found "Manual Camera DSLR Pro V1.13 where you can choose all (!) cameras and the IR-LEDs wont turn on. Especially great for long-distance photos in low light or sky photos. Bet results with manual exposure, ISO and time.
But other than the IR-Cam, the setup is not impressive.
All in all I'm very glad I bought it. An outdoor phone where you can leave your powerbank at home, an going for days. Awesome. The vanilla Android is a bit dull, but nothing is keeping you from using the launcher you like. There is enough power to do anything.
5G and Wifi is reliable and has a good reception. Yes it's heavy and big. But that is to be expected with 10600mAh. And this is battery capacity is real.

Bloatware: 9/10 (only Freezer & Duraspeed, you can uninstall Toolbox)

Received my King Kong Star on Tuesday. Great features for the price. The 100 megapixel camera is good, but there is no wide angle option. It`s a rugged and solid phone. Installed with Android 13, the stock version I believe. The second rear display is handy for checking notifications, saves you having to use the main screen. Recommended.

Make sure you realise the dimensions of this phone, it is a BIG phone. The only downside is that the camera only has 4x zoom. Everything else is great.

Kind of refreshing to see a phone with an actual name rather than a letter and some numbers and "5G" and "Pro" and "Lite" and "Ultra". 😅
