I got mine some second hand almost five years ago. I am on my fifth screen, second frame and second battery, even though it has degraded some 10% since new. Talk about an expensive phone with all those brocken screens but I replace them myself. The phone has fallen a number of times from my pocket. I guess the fact that the back is made of plastic, to some extent dampens the shocks - or is it only in my imagination? I suspect that a glass back phone would not withstand such harsh treatment. I used to protect my first screens with glass covers but I no longer bother to do so. I have a phone protector, which slightly protrudes beyond the screen so when the phone slides on the floor, the screen somewhat remains schielded. Overall a very good phone with decent photo quality. I am looking for its replacement as the phone is morally outdated but it keeps working. The only gripe I have with the phone is that it doesn't have a physical dual SIM.

But your second statement is not true at all.
In terms of raw app/game performance, the iPhone 13 and Galaxy S10 trumps the 3a by a wide margin. Both the iPhone and Samsung are using flagship level specs for their respective release years, plus iOS and its apps are made specifically for iPhone hardware. You simply can’t compare a 2019 mid/budget phone with a high end flagship made in 2021.
The 3a *feels* faster because, similar with Apple and iOS, Google tweaked and optimised Android to work better with their Pixel phones compared to other manufacturers.

Still using it to this day. Compact & fast. You can't go wrong with pixel quality! The only problem with this phone is its battery. Mine can keep for up at least 6-8 hours straight of moderate usage. It's still reasonable & considered good for 3000mah.

If you have more than 1 app open it will more than likely close your last one or two apps. Other than that, can't see any day to day difference to the 4a, except nicer screen and better sound on the 3a

I bought a pixel 3a phone in 2019
and it still works great. and fast and smooth and good battery life.

I bought this boy before 5 days for 140€ and i have never seen such an great phone on battery life. By the way the speed is so fast and smooth. Way way faster than my brothers Iphone 13 pro and S10 plus.
Camera is great too day light and low light.
