Huawei Mate 20 X (5G) gets over a million reservations in China

Huawei announced the Mate 20 X (5G) for the Chinese market on July 26, which is also when it started taking reservations for the device through its official online store, Vmall. The phone is scheduled to have its first sale on August 16.

Up until this moment, Vmall has apparently logged more than a million reservations for the Mate 20 X (5G), which means a lot of people are interested in perhaps purchasing one. Reservations aren't like pre-orders as in you don't pay the full amount, or enter an agreement to be charged the full amount at a later date.

As such, it's easy to make a reservation and then simply not go through with the purchase. On the other hand, with online flash sales, you need to have put in a reservation in order to access the sale. Even with all these things in mind, a million reservations is definitely a big number, especially for a phone that has 5G as its main selling point - a network standard that is anything but widespread today, China included.

The Mate 20 X (5G) supports both NSA and SA 5G, being the first such smartphone in existence (although there currently are no SA 5G networks anywhere, but that's another story). It's priced at CNY 6,199 ($881 or €793 at the current exchange rates).

It boasts a 7.2-inch FHD+ OLED touchscreen, a 4,200 mAh battery, the Kirin 980 chipset, 8GB of RAM, 256GB of storage, Android 9 Pie on board with EMUI 9.1 on top, a 40 MP + 8 MP + 20 MP triple rear camera setup, a 24 MP selfie shooter, and 40W fast charging.

Huawei is brand which could have awesome sales everywhere. Even in USA if the greasy man agenda would allow. But in their drama and nioghtmares they are stuck with a china made phones with USA sticker and logo on it.
