marekc, 28 Jun 20215g is actualy usless in 2021Sad truth. There is no real 5G coverage in my country and it seems not even around the corner. We have one operator which provides a kind 5G possibility but it's rather laughable.

Please don't judge it with the mAh, just check out iPhones.
Pro max models have incredible battery times with 3500-4000 mAh cells.
I'm using p40 pro with 4200 mAh battery, I'm having around 11 hours of screen on time.

Still an amazing phone for a good price 👌🏻
Battery is not that big, but Kirin ftw, so there will be power for a whole day, with heavy use 👍🏻

notafanboy, 28 Jun 2021Why?Why bother with all the 5G hype when there is not even a fully working network in the first place? Only a tiny handful of place has 5G network and it's not even at nationwide, let alone worldwide level. I may as well just stick with 4G until 5G has become mainstream in a few years time. By the time 5G has become mainstream for everyone, there will be a brand new 5G chipset with much wider bands, better performance, and better battery efficiency.

Since 5G network is still not available everywhere, it makes perfect sense to go for this variant as it still has the same Kirin 9000 chipset as the Mate 40 Pro 5G. It's just a shame that there is still no 4G version of Mate 40 with Kirin 9000E or Kirin 9000 chipset.

Still only 8gb ram. Not much upgrade on the battery. And only 4g? But ok, the 4g only must be because of the trump ban, than Biden still holds. Boycott nsa and the American monopol on spying!
