Prasad, 11 October 2023

Intel has finally launched the Arc A580 discrete graphics card. The card is being launched globally and available starting today.

The A580 features 24 Xe cores and ray tracing units, along with 1700MHz clock speed although all the currently announced cards feature an overclocked 2000MHz clock speed. It also comes with 8GB of GDDR6 memory on a 256-bit wide memory bus for 512GB/s of memory bandwidth. The card has a total board power of 185W. Overall, the A580 is fairly close to the A750 in terms of specifications.

The A580 was first announced alongside the other Arc A-series graphics cards over a year ago. While three of the four cards were launched last year, the A580 was never spoken of again until now. Considering the A580 uses a cutdown version of the same GPU as on the A750 and A770, Intel was likely waiting for there to be enough inventory of unused wafers from the 7-series before producing the A580.

With specs similar to the A750, you can expect fairly close performance to that model. Intel is targeting 1080p high settings experience for the A580 and a high refresh rate experience using XeSS, the company's AI-based image upscaling and reconstruction technology.

The A580 is currently being offered by ASRock, Gunnir, and Sparkle. Prices start at $179 and the card will be available in all regions currently selling the other Intel Arc cards.
