iPhone 15 users on iOS 17.1.1 are having issues with wireless chargers on GM cars

The latest iOS 17.1.1 release seems to be causing issues with wireless charging pads on several GM vehicles. Owners of several Chevrolet models including the Bolt EUV and Silverado 2500 have reported that their iPhone 15 series devices fail to wirelessly charge inside their cars after updating to the latest iOS release but worked when their phones were running on iOS 17.1.

The puzzling bit is that iOS 17.1.1 included a fix for wireless charging and NFC problems in some BMW cars. The magnitude of the new issue on GM cars remains to be seen but there have been multiple users complaints on Reddit as well as GM forums and Apple’s official support forum. We’ll be keeping an eye out for any developments on the in-car wireless charging fiasco and will update you accordingly.

I bet you apple restricted wireless charging in all cars that don't support apple car play. Until GM decides to play ball and re-enable it, apple is flexing their muscle
