Lenovo Vibe Shot version with 720p display spotted at TENAA

17 April, 2015

Lenovo showed off the camera-centric Vibe Shot smartphone with 1080p display and 16MP camera with OIS at the MWC 2015 last month. Apparently, the company is already working on a slightly lower-end version it though, as confirmed by a recent TENAA listing.

A Lenovo model Z90-3 was spotted at the Chinese wireless regulator and it features a 5-inch display of 720p resolution. Bearing the same dimensions as the Vibe Shot with 7.6mm thickness, the new handset might as well turn out to be just a regional version of the company's cameraphone flagship.

The rest of the specs remain almost the same such as the 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 mobile processor, 3GB of RAM, 8MP front facing camera, 16MP primary snapper with triple LED flash, and 32GB of built-in storage with microSD card slot. The original Vibe Shot runs Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box, but we are yet to find out if this new version will be able to match that.

Both the original and the new 720p model appear to be the Dual-SIM models supporting 4G LTE network bands. As of now, it is unclear when this new 720p model will launch,, but it shouldn't be too far away.
