LG announces WCDMA DMB phone

LG Electronics has announced the launch of its third generation (WCDMA) DMB phone as the very first in the world. This new WCDMA DMB phone supports all of GSM, GPRS, and WCDMA, which are the commonly used mobile systems in Europe.

It employs 2.2 inch LCD capable of rotating the screen as well as Mobile-XD Engine for high definition display for DMB. It plays maximum 3hours of DMB.

The device also employed a newly invented earphone which contains an antenna built inside for DMB. This antenna can receive the frequency in the band of VHF (30~300MHz). This earphone with built-in antenna is particularly useful when you enjoy DMB in a noisy place like a sports stadium.

LG Electronics plans to release this WCDMA DMB phones in IFA 2005 exhibition in German as well as in World Cup 2006 in Europe.
