Netflix now lets you kick out unwanted devices from account

Yordan, 16 November 2022

Netflix now allows signing out of particular devices, linked to your account. The feature, currently available mostly on iOS and Android, shows which devices are using the platform, and if there are any irregularities, like freeloaders or unwanted members, you can simply tap Sign Out and kick them out.

The feature is found in the Account Settings menu, and then in the Security & Privacy section is the Manage access and devices feature. Here, at GSMArena’s HQ, we tend to download Netflix on every device we test for a review and we have an extremely long list of devices, as seen in the screenshots above.

In any regular scenario, it would be quite easy to see which user is sharing their part of the membership with other people.

This is just yet another step by Netflix towards cracking down on password sharing and likely expects users to do their job first before the platform takes matter in its own hands. Also, the feature is currently available only on mobile and we have no information on when desktop users or and TV apps will get it.
