This phone is pretty good for me to be honest ive had it for like a week now ive got the 6Gb model its pretty good to see a 5G handset with headphone jack and a sd card slot something these newer phones have pretty much removed some people say the phone has been laggy acts up screen is not resposnive at times to me ive never faced any issues the only thing i think is a issue is battery goes fast but its not as bad as i make the battery sound im more using my computer than a phone i just use this phone to what make calls navigate etc its used more in bed or in the car but to me its pretty good but tbh i would of went with samsung but i relie of an sd card slot than internal storage but yeah!

      I buy 6gb so pink version for my wife
      Before she have poco m5 4gb.
      She like so pink color

      I set up phone but i also feel touching lag. I press key on screen an sometime it no respond then i press again an it then respond. Sometime it no happen then sometime it always happen. I did not like this an my wife not like too as poco m5 every time touch key on screen it respond very fast, but poco too much bloat apps

              i have received the update for android 14 yesterday here in Saudi Arabia for my G42 and so far it looks very smooth no lag what so ever after the update.

                Selwyn Froggitt, 23 Dec 2023With all the features Google is adding like color theming, ... moreNo need for OTG when you had microsd card support. Also, OTG wasnt a thing in the 2000's. It first started to pop up when phones started dropping the sd card slot.

                People barely browsed the web on their phones. There wasnt much social media or productivity apps on phones. It was mainly communication purposes.

                    Nokia G42's Video looks clear when shooting in 1x , but the moment you try to zoom anything beyond 1x the video becomes / looks grainy. I know the digital crop makes it a bit grainy but at least till 2x should had been clear as the Photos taken in 2x looks clear. The problem is only in video. Hope developers solve it in future updates.

                        Works great looks great this bright color is mesmerizing!
                        Got a clear rubbery case for protection so the color is still showing
                        Excellent battery life overall 9/10 very much recommended

                            I don't think its a software issue anymore i think its hardware otherwise hmd would have fixed. I've already contacted hmd support a few times and they keep saying engineers are looking into it. I've exchanged my g42 3 times with hmd. They have been very good with exchanges. But i had touch issue with all 3. I am keeping it though because of easy battery replacement. But g42 is not very fluid to use. A lot of other cheaper phones from other phone brands have better touch responses, but cannot easily replace battery or parts. So g42 is good for this reason. It's just not very good to use

                              This phone has a good camera for the price. I have encountered an issue with the touch response of the panel it sorts of lags, though when you browse with chrome there is no problem, it might be due to a software issue, has anyone else found the same problem?

                                safin asa, 29 Dec 2023I Guess There is Some Samsung Haters Around...If everyone LOVES only Samsung mobiles, there can be no other mobile manufacturers around which would make even Google bankrupt because, if Samsung becomes the only mobile manufacturer in this world they would build their own Operating System which would render Android useless. But, there is a valid point in your comment. Most of the people in this world wants to have all the cake for themselves. Most of us don't like to share.

                                      Nokia G42's Stock Android is really good; But Nokia Developers needs to add more other software features like 3 fingers screenshot and quick action buttons on lock-screen (i.e. torch, camera opening etc.), PC/laptop wireless connectivity feature for easy data transfer (similar to Samsung Dex / Motorola's Ready For) and a Game Mode. Hoping they'll add these features in their upcoming software updates.
