Last year’s Oppo A2 Pro is getting a successor later this week as the brand announced the launch date for the Oppo A3 Pro. The midranger is set to debut on Friday – April 12 at 2:30PM Beijing time. Oppo is already taking early reservations for the A3 Pro through its official online store and partnering retailers JD.com, Tmall and Douyin where potential buyers can reserve their spot and early delivery.

Oppo teased that A3 Pro will feature some sort of ingress protection, up to 12GB RAM and 512GB storage, and three official colors - Azure, Pink, and Mountain Blue with the latter two featuring a vegan leather back.

Tipster Digital Chat Station also chimed in with the leaked specs for the A3 Pro confirming the device will offer an IP69 rating which means protection against high-pressure water jets (up to 100 bar) and steam cleaning, as well as dust-tight protection. That’s noteworthy as we don’t usually see midrange devices with this type of IP rating.

The rest of the rumored specs include a curved 6.7-inch OLED with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, MediaTek Dimensity 7050 chipset with up to 12GB RAM and 512GB storage, and a 5,000 mAh battery. A3 Pro will also feature a 1/2-inch 64MP main cam with f/1.7 aperture.

In related news, the device also appeared on Geekbench bearing the PJY110 identifier. The benchmark confirms the Dimensity 7050 chipset and 12GB RAM and shows the device will boot Android 14 out of the box.
