Samsung Galaxy Mega 2 lands at AT&T on October 24

20 October, 2014

AT&T has just announced that it will start selling the Samsung Galaxy Mega 2 on October 24, which is this Friday.

The handset will set you back $149.99 if you go with the traditional two-year contract. If you want to purchase it without the requirement of a long-term service agreement, you'll need to shell out $474.99.

Alternatively, you can choose the Next plans, paying nothing upfront then followed by either 20 monthly installments of $23.75 or 24 monthly installments of $19.80. And if you activate a new or existing line on AT&T Next until October 31 you can receive $100 bill credit.

The Galaxy Mega 2 comes with a 6-inch 720p touchscreen, an 8 MP rear camera with LED flash, and a 2.1 MP front snapper. It's powered by a quad-core CPU, aided by 1.5GB of RAM. It's got 16GB of storage, microSD card support, and all the usual connectivity options (including 4G LTE). Keeping things running smoothly is a 2,800 mAh battery, and the preinstalled software is Android 4.4 KitKat.

Not garbage at all. My son has one, nice big phablet for a cheap price. It's snappy and great for browsing and playing games.. and it will play the most demanding games on the market with no stutter or lag.
