Verizon releases the Samsung Galaxy J3 (2016), yours for $109.99 sans contract

Today Verizon has started selling a new Samsung smartphone. We're talking about the Galaxy J3 (2016), a device that should also reach AT&T tomorrow, and has been out at Sprint's prepaid brands since January.

Big Red has managed to be faster than its main competitor, however. It's offering the phone for fans of prepaid plans, so there's no long-term contract to sign when you buy the J3.

It's priced at $109.99, which isn't bad considering its specs. The Galaxy J3 (2016) has a 5-inch 720p Super AMOLED touchscreen, a 5 MP rear camera with f/2.2 aperture, a 2 MP selfie shooter, the Spreadtrum SC8830 chipset with a 1.2 GHz quad-core Cortex-A7 CPU, 1.5GB of RAM, 8GB of expandable storage, and a 2,600 mAh battery. It runs Android 5.1.1 Lollipop.

This comes with 5.1.1 but A7 (2015) still running 5.0.2. Why samsung. Even you update you would not give the latest touchwiz. Regret buying.
