With such cost, you definitely dont expect to get 1-2 second delays when scrolling fast in system launcher or when you switching apps from the recent app tabs. In year 2024 you do not expect such issues even in devices that cost 200 euro. And those are not manufacturing defects but long-term issues of Oxygen 14.

It is an Oxygen 14 issue it seems since the same issue exists in more Oneplus devices. Also there is 1 second delay in system launcher (home page) if you try to scroll left/right and immediately thereafter down to open the notification panel or up to open the app drawer. This is apparent in users scrolling fast.

This is probably one the best flagship till now, 2024.
Alert slider is a bit small, with the back cover on...
No silence in notification bar...
Camera results are great, so is the 5G speed.
My personal 2nd day experience.

For icon colors, oneyou icon app is fine? Whicon doesn't have more options for icon colors, size customising...
Default weather app is pretty inaccurate, using Yr.no.

With only this info I can tell that nothing is wrong. What is normal calling? What is normal surfing means? Whatsapp is known battery hog on any phone.
I assume you have pretty much good cell reception(5G), auto brightness, VOLTE on and you are getting 10 hours of standby, 3-4hours of SOT 100 to 47% while being on a call for couple of hours.

Great phone, responsive, nice camera only concern is SOT on 5500 mAh battery.
How to tweak, debloat the ROM and make required changes...
Just with normal calling, surfing, WhatsApp battery drained from 100 to 47%.
ROM updated to the latest version.

I received mine. It's a great phone, slightly heavier and with some OnePlus related bloat software etc. Battery drain, maybe due to some installed apps like Accubatt, Speed test etc.
Camera is awesome.
What are the apps safe to remove, that drain it too?
Am using Nova Prime and Yr.no weather app.
Can I contact you on XDA to get expert assistance to tweak the ROM, to get the full juice out of this great phone?
My only concern is SOT, btw today is my 1st day of its use. My 4 yr. old Xiaomi gives a more SOT but with a tweaked debloated MIUI 14..

- OnePlus support 4/5 years of OS/Security updates which is more than enough for a flagship. Majority of people keep their phone for 2 to 3 years max 4 years.
- what do you mean by charge it 3 times a day? Do you even have idea, OnePlus 12 has the best battery life in a smartphone while keeping one of the recored breaking fastest charging speed. For longitivtiy previous OnePlus phones are a proof that it lasts way longer than people make to be. 10 Pro and 11 are example with very strong battery life till now.
- What makes it competitive is the Price. This phone is almost half the price of most expensive phone brand. Yet It has worldclass display, battery, great camera, gaming, performance, speakers and pretty smooth software all that for $800 ... This is definitely the flagship killer for 2024 my friend.

What if most people is using those features? Btw all phones use some sort of AI to enchase quality of images, so basically all phones are "AI Gimmicks".
What if I tell you those "scammers" have the most feature rich software off all smartphones? And software support are the best of all companies? You can't name at least one other company which supports their phones for so long: samsung, google, apple.
What if other companies batteries lasts way longer so you don't need to charge your phone in 25% two/three times a day?

The phone is really nice in terms of components and comfort of use, but it has one drawback (which can be corrected in software), but OnePlus have been completely ignoring it for some time now. We're talking about a 1-2 second delay when switching to other apps from the background. Unfortunately, I tried two units of this phone, but the error was so irritating that I had to give up on it. This completely destroys the smoothness of the system...

They have best battery in smartphone and very good camera with crisp telephoto. I just love the 80Watt charging speed and its price for what it offers! 100% in 25 mins. imagine that! woah!!! My 2nd choice would be IPhone 15Pm solely for Video quality. That's it! Rest are AI gimmick phones such as S24U and P8Pro with various issues, money grabbing scam*ers.
