This phone is nothing short of pure misery. the camera is mid, the screen is horrible, after one year of using it and I can swear on my life I have never dropped it, the sensors never work, the sunlight mode goes off while im using the phone in the dark, the graphics rendered in gaming are horrible even overclocking the cpu caused candy crush saga to freeze. I wouldn't wish this phone on my worst enemy, even if this was the only phone in the world I'd rather live without a phone.
Mi recently allowed me to extend the ram upto 6gb and after fully extending it the phone froze for 5 mins because I received a call and a message at the same time.
The phone overheats so much it's honestly hard to keep the phone in your pocket after a while. Xiaomi's excellent solution to the overheating problem is to disconnect from mobile data usage. Even though the phone shows me full 5 bars of connectivity, if I had to find something on the web I'd drive 45 mins to the nearest library get my facts down get back home on bangalore traffic and still be faster than this phone. Please for the love of all thats holy do not waste your money on this garbage. you might as well get a dog.
The only thing I have liked about this phone is it's battery life. that's really all i've liked.

Hi, I am using this Device now. My previous device was Redmi 9 Prime
Pros :
* 90 Hz, I can feel that difference from previous device.
* Display is good quality than my expectations.
* Audio is perfect with loud Stereo speakers.
* Battery is Awesome on backup and charging.
* IR remote, 3 mm audio jack.
Cons :
* No Wireless FM. Previous device had that feature.
* Camera 50MP AI Quad Camera is some Gimmick for advertising only.
* Network is Bad for JIO users, works well only with Vodafone & Airtel in India.
* Side mounted finger print sometimes is tough to use.
Overall person with a better knowledge who know to customize & optimize MIUI devices will be happy with the device.
Others will find the device lag and struggle with the enabled bloatware.

Worst phone ever. Fingerprint sensor not working after 1.5 years.. GPU rendering is the worst for gaming. Network drops too much gets disconnected often while in call . Should have gone for samsung. Never buying redmi again.

This is a worst mobile i ever buy, auto volume up and down makes me irritated and angry. I never bought mi phones , i'll buy nokia but never buy mi.

Barely been about a year since I started using this phone and so thoroughly disappointed. I would have been satisfied with samsung phones with lower spec than this one considering how many problems I'm facing. Here's the list of them:
1. Overheating
2. 4G or even 3G doesn't work even though the phone is supposed to be dual 4G supported
3. Gyroscope is trash
4. Camera quality isn't that good
5. Phone randomly freezes upon using some of the built in features
6. Cellular network doesn't show or loads after 5-19 minutes for whatever reasons
7. Ads everywhere
Even my 2gb ram huawei phone was better than this. Never buying redmi again

I got this phone a year ago, and here are some thing you need to know,
the phone performance is okay, Minecraft can be run at 8 chunks, but by using setedit and by overclocking the CPU,
it can be run at 12 - 14 chunks, asphalt 9 can be run at High Quality setting, overall it needs just some adjusting and using special app boosters, camera is kinda average tho,
Solid 8.5/10 Nice Phone
it also got the android 12 update with miui 13
Android 13 Miui 14 expected in late 2023
