Absolute Trash phone! I seriously felt it was a huge mistake buying it as it traded quality over price. I hated it!

Anonymous, 18 Feb 2024Made a mistake of buying thisfor my dad instead of an old ... moreyou don't even need to buy a flagship to be usable as a phone, you can go for other brands like from itel, infinix, poco, nokia, realme or even motorola if available. just avoid phones with slow processor and gpu like powervr ge8320 or similar. they are notoriously weak if it runs newer than android 10.

Don't buy this phone it has a bad UI and Buggy UI
It's hasn't been 3 months and it's destroying my chargers. Never buy this phone it's a Fire Hazard it can cause your charger to explode
If you want to buy a budget phone you should buy Infinix Smart 7 for only a few bucks more than Redmi A1, they have the same hardware though but it's better

Don't ever consider buy this phone at all. Just go buy other brand or other phone. This phone is worst, bad and outdated. That's all, have a good day miss/sir.

The phone is good for its ptice of 78 bucks here where i live but just one thing is the problem the Micro usb charging port if they make a new model with Usb-c charging port its gonna be alright.

Redmi A1 just totally suck like hell.. This phone should've existed when Quad-core was at it's peak not today's generation

I literally need the phone for calls, text, Whatsapp and light web browsing. Is this good? I'm not looking for performance, I just need a basic phone and can't seem to find anything cheaper.

This device should never have existed. There is no way to decently watch a video on YouTube, it is constantly taking screenshots, the performance is embarrassing. The earphone sound is always like loudspeaker, you can't have a private conversation. even the speakerphone sounds softer than the earpiece. The only decent thing is the battery life. I definitely don't recommend it
