22 October, 2014
Curiously, the developer-friendly flagship phablet by the Korean giant is more affordable than its regular sibling.

the Vario II, HTC Touch, thouch HD and HD2 were advancing Mobile tech whill the iPhone was nothing more than a phone with mp3 and no 3G network while I was already running WiFi hot points on my vario II rocking windows mobile 6.1 with 3G and Bluetooth audio. the iPhone is a joke of device that constantly lacks behind in technical abilities.

AnonD-308504, 23 Oct 2014as far as I know, we all still be using flip phones right n... moreFeel free to deny this all you want, without samsung, you would be still squinting at a 3.5 inch screen with no pixells.
The galaxy s1 one shook em up so good they had to sue, which is pretty comical because the second you lit up that samoled screen which could swip both ways in freedom not a daft keyboard , poping up, ruining your freedom every time you swiped one way, and its lovely colorful touchwizz interface as apposed to the junior school boring grayscale of the iphone, yes its no wondered they sued to try stop the sales bleed, I never met one single person who mistook the new direction of the gs1 for the isquint phone,
          and to prove it,
apple copied with a 4 inch screen a while later, if the gs1 one had been like an iphone then apple clients wouldn't have left would they, that is unless you think samsung took what was already there and inovated and made it better..ha ha.

Deny this if you can , samsung copied the i6+ with the galaxy note 1...ha ha.

Get a white note 1 stick it beside a 6+ and put your finger over the home buttons, even the o2 sales staff said it..yuk yuk

My white n1 is in a black cover surround, and I put ios8 software on it and even with the button, you can geuss what people were asking can't you... I said no the 6+ is bigger and un-gainlier, dom jolly territory actually, an your not free to do what you want with your own content.

We named the iphones brave heart, cos all they want is,

          FREEEEEEEEEEDOM.

AnonD-317016, 23 Oct 2014R.I.P. Nexus 6Why? Because the note 4 has touchwiz and updates months after it? Or is it because it is more expensive. Ah, I know why, it's because the note 4 has so much more bloat than the Nexus 6.

That is why they rushed and pushed out the HTC Dream. Apple my have sped up the process by being strong competition but it would have happend anyway.

You are aware other forms than flip existed before the iPhone, right? In fact where I'm from flip phones were in the relative minority of designs available.

I think all this is a unlocked bootloader which means you can run custom roms instead of keeping it the way Verizon sets it. . It's a big deal for people who root their phones

They are of course not the first "smart phone" and tim Cook even mentioned that already, it's not, but it's the iPhone that came out that have changed the way everyone is making phones.

feel free to deny this all you want. But it was the iphone 1 that changed the way we are using smart phones today. NOt Samsung, note the note 4, heck we all know, the note 4 today wouldn't even esist if not for the first iphone.

You never provide evidence to substantiate your claims. I would be interested to know how you have come to the conclusion that Samsung have copied anyone. The truth IMO is that in this industry its hard to be innovative or build a new device without some kind of similarity to another device.

And if by some chance you are saying they copied Apple, its apple who has been copied the rest of the industry and gone bigger screen and 16:9 aspect.

The Dev edition is the same device as the standard Verizon only that they are not shipping it with a locked bootloader which has been a major point of contention for people who want to root their device as even to this day, the Note 3 on Verizon has a locked bootloader and not a single Dev at XDA has been able to get past it, in short I give praise to Verizon for not putting their head in the sand and ignoring the truth that some of their customers like to gain root access. While I am against locking a bootloader to start with I can see why someone might do this to further enhance security.
