This isn't always the case with Android phones sporting PowerVR GPUs. The support on Linux is also non-existent.

For a device of this size, I just don't see why anyone would choose it over the Nexus 6 or Note 4.

Nothing is really impressive, LG is sleeping... for this spec, give me a reason why I don't choose Nexus6 64GB.
I'm using G3 with it slow laggy UI, LG will never release bootloader for user to install custom rom, they never care, spend your money on better device.

The LG F490K is not existed.,,
There is only one LG F490L model with LG's own processor.
LG U Plus is the only carrier to sell the LG F490L (aka LG G3 Screen)

Why the hell did they use that crappy IMG Tech PowerVR GPU? Seriously, the driver support for those GPUs are terrible nor do they don't even bother to release new blobs or fix their OpenGL ES3.x shader bugs. Seriously, even the Mali-7xx series are way better in terms of support, SDK and openness.

GSMArena forgot to mention that the GPU is by Imagination Technologies i.e. a PowerVR GPU (as seen in CPU-Z) and the four Cortex-A15 cores are indeed clocked at 1.5 GHz as indicated by the photo showing the AnTuTu benchmark.
