Sammy has done it again...put a over priced phone into competitive Indian mobile market. Soon it will meet its maker. After loss of low end market to Redmi 1s..mid end too will go..soon by next month Redmi Note with better camera..better battery will come to india for INR 9999..then only fools with opt for this behemoth for INR 21999. Wake up Samsung..before u r restricted to s5 and Note 4 phones only.

Samsung has to reduce their price by at least 20 to 30 % to be in Indian market.(Remind Nokia.....It was the Indians who helped them to perform and perish too...LOL)
A lot cheaper and reliable brands out there in India like Motorola.

I bought the mega 5.8 a year ago in 18500inr after 1 year i can't see why will this upgrade make sense to anyone?

Samsung galaxy mega 2 is the best mobile because quad core 1.5ghz & 1.2ghz prosessor,8mp camera and 6" display.

And just you know that mega 5.8 doesn't use dual core krait, it uses broadcomm dual core cortex a9 which is basically an overclocked chip found at first gen galaxy grand.
ofc, this mega 2 is a lot better than your mega 5.8.
Mega 2 in india will be shipped with snapdragon 410 with quad core cortex a53 and not with exynos mind you.

I bought galaxy mega 5.8 for my mom worked like a charm had better specs than mega 2 . I don't know what's up with all manufacturers they r mad behind quad core 1.2 ghz A7 which in my opinion hangs quite often, dual core krait 300 cpus are undoubtedly better.

Mega 2 uses old Exynos 1.5Ghz Quad Core, similar to 20... moreactually.. i find samsung's 8mp camera sufficient.. and mega 2 costs 10k less the g pro 2 in india .. and it says 1.2 quad core.. which mite be the 410 64 bit version .. cause i read so somewhere .. and if that is true ..then it is enough..and samsung's displays are always topnotch..

It's a midrange devices so what do you expect from it? If u want the better specs u can get other devices like u said lg g pro2 ;)

Mega 2 uses old Exynos 1.5Ghz Quad Core, similar to 2012 S3, Build quality looks cheapskate, lousy camera, very bad in taking photo in low light environment, the display too look quite low end, bad buy since many other manufacturers have better 6" phone at similar price, eg. LG G Pro2 using much better Snapdragon 800 2.3ghz quad core chip & 13MP camera.

Galaxy Alpha is available in Indonesia for USD625,
