Anonymous, 27 Oct 2014but xiaomi does admit of sending user data it is just stat... moreLol . There is a catch . If user doesnt provide the permission ,the app would either crash or get cranky getting asking for permission everytime you use the app. So either way the user has to enable the permission . some apps like phone.apk as such needs permission to read contacts and call history . How are you supposed to use a dialer without those permissions ? So that remains anyway a hidden problem which is not detailed on technical part by xiaomi

AnonD-322060, 27 Oct 2014It's always better to go with samsung lg htc or apple rathe... moreWhat make you think that these companies you mentioned are not doing the same thing as Xiaomi did secretly or in disguise and i don't know why you mentioned huawei. Infact, they are all on the same boat in terms of data mining so imo its you that has to beware of these companies wether it be big or small. #justsaying

        First and foremost:

If China has been and always been aggressive at Indian borders, harming Indian armed forces, why should we Indians buy Chinese goods, especially Electronics and directly finance Chinese terrorism!!!

        Don't we have other options?

All the chinese products we buy directly sends hard-earned indian money to Chinese bank accounts for those manufacturers thus making it easy for them to invest heavily into R&D which they eventually will end up using against we Indians!!

I think we should think before we buy. Just a personal opinion and thumb rule to which i've always stuck to.

The more we spend on Indian products, the more we help Rupee to strengthen our own economy!

        Basic economics I think.
