"While Nokia devices are generally quicker to receive such software updates, Samsung's wares sometimes lag behind."
Generally it has started quite recently. I received a couple of first updates weeks before Nokia was releasing their packages.

Please don't wait for Windiws 10 on mobiles. The hardware will need major updates first, we will all need Zimmer frames by then. Windows 8.1 coming later in the year (Denim) and there will be a few more next year. 8.1 is so smooth even on low range phones. I am keeping my Lumia 820 for another 2+ years (5 in total). I gig ram perfectly capable for best operating system on market. I am sure this zSamsung w

Please don't ask anyone to wait for Windows 10 on mobiles... We'll need zimmer frames by then. Mobiles will not get Windows 10 until months after desktops & laptops as the hardware needs serious improvements. Windows 8.1 will get a fair few updates and operating system is very slick anyway, whether it be Lumia or Samsung... My Lumia 820 is 2 years old and I am so happy with updates (Denim coming soon), I keep this phone for an other two years as yet.

hi, 10 Nov 2014windows device down left behind..android + moto g the future.Windows 10 is the future. It runs on desktops, laptops, tablets, hybrids, gaming console, internet of things, portable devices, etc.. All share the same app store. All have same experience. Android has no future in enterprise since every OEM has their own UI. Windows 10 is the start of the decline for Android.
