If the Z4 has a Snapdragon 810, I think I might upgrade from my Z1 Compact. Might have to consider the full-sized phone this time around.
I also hope Sony really slows down the flooding of new flagship models. Z1 Compact was released to market 10 months ago, and now there is already a Z3 Compact. It's crazy.

Meh, it's probably going to more of the same, again. Only one that is slightly more appealing is the 'Z4' Ultra.

Leave the z4 compact at 720p, I'd rather have great battery life than more pixel than my eyes can even see.

Sony need to change two main things: The camera and the OS. A 20MP with a-la-Nokia characteristics and Windows will be awesome!

hi, 12 Nov 2014yes it is because ill get updates first than u... and sony ... moreNot sure which phones you've been using but Sony's Xperia Z line screens are made of glass, protected by shatterproof sheet in respect of the Z and Z1 but just shatterproof glass on the Z2 & Z3. Premium build costs more than plastic but it's all about choice! Fairly cheap by comparison to the iPhone, by the way!

Why do companies NOT realize that human eyes technically can NOT perceive much difference in screens beyond 1,920 x 1,080 esp. on Small screens?!

I'm also concerned about dropping magnetic charger. They should just add USB cable to it so we can plug it to PC. Smartphone could communicate with dock via NFC. Also, they can increase screen resolution, but in my opinion 900p is enough, no need for FullHD.
About plastic screens - way better than tough Gorilla Glass, which is damaged after single, unlucky drop.

It has way better battery life (mainly standby and idle) than Z1C, check test. Also, very quiet speakers from Z1C are gone, same with huge bezels. Camera also improved, there will be some updates, so it will be even better. Also, this plastic frame is supposed to protect display, because metal frame is failure (it transfer force to display causing glass to break). It also improved display a bit - better black and more even brightness distribution. Z3C have better memory - way faster read speed, slightly slower write. If it isn't improvement then I'm afraid this year we didn't see any improvement from ANY manufacturer.
