Benchmarks test the performance of the phone "as is" or as any user would use it. If you overclock the CPU only on benchmarks you're cheating because no user would have that kind of performance on their phone on a daily use. The phone never works like that, only when benchmarking thus the benchmarks are fake.
Another thing is to overclock your rooted device and benchmark it. You overclock it but you use it overclocked.
What Samsung did - and insists on doing in many other ways - is cheating. At that speed the battery would be empty in half the time, the phone would definitely over heat and its longevity would shorten.
Samsung sucks.

Yes, Samsung cheat but doesn't wanna be cheated because Samsung sues NVIDIA for patent infringement, claims benchmark test results were fake.
Not to mention that the Nexus 6 and the Droid Turbo aka Moto Maxx beat them and they are the King now.

These scores are useless in rear mx4 is much much slower I have 1+1,note 3,moto g, mx4 is slowest but but quality is very good but very slippery in hands very strange flyme ui.

I don't even consider cranking up the clock as cheat if you are benchmarking. See the pc arena where people pour liquid nitrogen for cooling just to break benchmark record.
